Privacy Policy — Chess Position Analyzer

Last updated: April 2026

Chess Position Analyzer is a ChatGPT app that opens an interactive chessboard inside a ChatGPT conversation. This policy explains what data the app handles.

What We Collect

Nothing. The app has no user accounts, stores no data on its servers, uses no analytics or tracking, and does not share information with third parties.

How the App Works

When you use the app, ChatGPT sends the app a chess position (for example, a FEN string) and the app returns an interactive board widget. The position is processed in memory to validate it and is discarded when the request completes. The board runs entirely in your browser inside the ChatGPT interface; piece movements you make stay in the widget and are only visible to ChatGPT through the normal Apps SDK conversation context.

ChatGPT's Role

Your conversation with ChatGPT — including any chess questions you ask — is subject to OpenAI's own privacy policy, not this one. See openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

The app sets no cookies and uses no local storage beyond the transient widget state ChatGPT manages on your behalf during the conversation.

Children

The app has no age-related features and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Policy Updates

This policy may change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
